Tag! Here's the drill (This one's kind of interesting...)1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
The rules are as follows: List 3 Joys, 3 Fears, 3 Goals, 3 Current Obsessions/Collections, and 3 Random Surprising Facts About Yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

We just finished a week or so with 5 of Matt's students from AZ. It was a lot of fun and it was a lot of work. It is amazing to remember the maturity differences from Frosh/Soph to Jr/Sr/Grad. I had to spend an entire day reclaiming my computer from the clutches of MySpace, etc.
Tomorrow we start in with a new batch of visitors. We have 6 girls and their leader from Ashburn, VA who are part of a youth conference/pageant tour, the Von Kampens from Mesa, and Susan, Seini, and Iolani. Yeah, you would think that I would have spaced these things out better, but communication is sometimes a problem. I told the Von Kampens they were welcome, then told the ward that I might be able to host some girls for the youth group, but could they call me first to confirm? No call came, just an assignment. Matt claims he told me the dates for Susan and Seini, but I don't think so. Anyhooo. Here we are, setting up all the airbeds, and hoping for the best.

Okay, summer has officially gotten in the way of my blogging. I have no idea how much or little I did in June after the 9th, because that was when we started having visitors. I do know that I went to Girls Camp with Sarah as a 4th year at the beginning of July, and managed to gain about 10 lbs. It really bums me out because the food was terrible. 4th years have to plan their menu and then cook it. They really needed help, but not much you can do once you are out in the wilderness. The first night it rained so we didn't eat our undercooked potatoes and cold salad until 9 PM. It didn't get a lot better after that.

Most of you know this by now, but ...
WOOHOO! We are moving to Syracuse!!!!!
There is so much to do, and about half of it is paperwork! How could that be possible? I don't know if it would have been easier to stay in Mesa and let the moving company do the whole thing or not, because we still have to decide what stuff stays in Palmyra, and what stuff goes to Syracuse. But, the moving company is picking up Matt's office, then headed to Mesa to pick up the items from the shed that we left behind for some reason . . .

Note to self: Next time you fly anywhere, wear decent shoes and pedometer.
Why, you may ask, has this just occurred to me?
Yesterday I flew back to Phoenix for a meeting with Primavera. I landed in Philidelphia with an hour to spare, but the furthest gate from where I was. I am not kidding. We landed at F36 and my Phoenix flight was leaving from A26. Yes, I rode the shuttle bus from F10 to A1, so technically that was only the length of two terminals that I walked, but as I got to A26, I wondered, "How far did I just walk?" I had chosen to leave the pedometer at home, so I didn't know.
I also regreted wearing my usual travel shoes. They are great for airline travel because they slip on and off for security, and they are slightly room if (ha! WHEN!) my feet swell. But, they are not great for long distance treks.
When I got to A26 there was nothing decent to eat. I got all picky and started back up the terminal to find something and ended up at the food court between the B and C terminal. Then, I had to trek back to A26, which had actually been changed to A24, but no big deal.
So, how far did I walk in the hour or so that I was actually on my feet?

Yesterday we went to our Home Teacher's farm instead of him coming to our house. Sarah and I got to ride the horse Tater Tot. (His show name is Amber War Bonnet.) Sarah could not stop smiling, and despite my fear of horses, she did well too.
We also got to feed the chickens. There were about 100 of them and they smelled just as bad as I remember. Matt went into one of the coops to see how the egg gathering setup was set up and a chicken above his head got spooked. Yep, you guessed it, chicken poop. I laughed so hard I almost cried, but then couldn't breathe properly in the car on the way home. Man, does that stuff stink. I sent Matt to the shower, but ended up taking one too because I felt like the smell had gotten in my hair and pores. Eeww!
Did I remember the camera to take pictures of the horse and the poop? Nope. Talked about it before leaving, but then forgot. Sorry fans.
