My Thankful List

I don't know about the Pay It Forward stuff. I rarely make anything except dinner any more. But, I do like the A, B, C list! Even if there is NO WAY I can be serious that long.
Here goes:
A-Antidepressants. 'Nuff said. (Oops. I blew the serious tone already)
B-Books, books, and more books. I am a serious bibliophile. (Look it up!)
C-Cranberry Sauce, the jellied kind. MMMMMMM! I wait all year so I can eat it in public at Thanksgiving.

Those of you who have done this know how much fun it can be. In addition to the 3 or 4 guys from the Elder's Quorum, we had Super Seminary Students galore who packed this puppy up in about 4 hours. Whaaa...?

These are the famous 4 churches. On each corner by our house is a different denomination. The 1st picture is the Episcopal Church on the South/East Corner. The 2nd picture is the Presbyterian Church on the North/East corner (and next to our house) and the Methodist Church on the North/West corner. The 3rd picture is the Baptist Church on the South/West corner. You cannot see the Catholic Church behind the Presbyterian Church on-get this-Church Street.
Duchess cannot decide whether she is Presbyterian or Catholic. She frequents both their doorways. I guess it depends on if she needs confession for picking on Fly.

This is what our house looked like when we bought it. It's not much different, except for the . . and the. . . okay, the color is the same still.
You will notice that I appear in NONE of these pictures. While I am skillful at avoiding the camara, the truth of the matter is that I was home asleep. Like any sane person would do when faced with a choice of sleeping in a warm bed and pulling a handcart through the mud and rain with a bunch of teenagers and overgrown boyscouts. Sarah, her friend Ruth, and Matt had fun though!

This is a horned toad, for those of you not familiar with the desert.

Well, I make a start. I claim to be computer literate and proficient, but what that really means is that I know more than my darling husband. We shall see if I am any better at keeping up with this than the letters and photos I keep promising to send.
