Note to self: Next time you fly anywhere, wear decent shoes and pedometer.
Why, you may ask, has this just occurred to me?
Yesterday I flew back to Phoenix for a meeting with Primavera. I landed in Philidelphia with an hour to spare, but the furthest gate from where I was. I am not kidding. We landed at F36 and my Phoenix flight was leaving from A26. Yes, I rode the shuttle bus from F10 to A1, so technically that was only the length of two terminals that I walked, but as I got to A26, I wondered, "How far did I just walk?" I had chosen to leave the pedometer at home, so I didn't know.
I also regreted wearing my usual travel shoes. They are great for airline travel because they slip on and off for security, and they are slightly room if (ha! WHEN!) my feet swell. But, they are not great for long distance treks.
When I got to A26 there was nothing decent to eat. I got all picky and started back up the terminal to find something and ended up at the food court between the B and C terminal. Then, I had to trek back to A26, which had actually been changed to A24, but no big deal.
So, how far did I walk in the hour or so that I was actually on my feet?

Yesterday we went to our Home Teacher's farm instead of him coming to our house. Sarah and I got to ride the horse Tater Tot. (His show name is Amber War Bonnet.) Sarah could not stop smiling, and despite my fear of horses, she did well too.
We also got to feed the chickens. There were about 100 of them and they smelled just as bad as I remember. Matt went into one of the coops to see how the egg gathering setup was set up and a chicken above his head got spooked. Yep, you guessed it, chicken poop. I laughed so hard I almost cried, but then couldn't breathe properly in the car on the way home. Man, does that stuff stink. I sent Matt to the shower, but ended up taking one too because I felt like the smell had gotten in my hair and pores. Eeww!
Did I remember the camera to take pictures of the horse and the poop? Nope. Talked about it before leaving, but then forgot. Sorry fans.

Take this test!
Who else has what it takes to be the star of the show? While you can occasionally fly off the handle just a little or take things a bit too far, you're usually good as goblin blood. It's not that you look for trouble — it just ends up finding you.

It seems like you should be pretty full of yourself, but you keep it all in check. In fact, a little birdie told us (well, it was actually an owl) that you're not always the most confident person, but you believe in yourself when it really matters. You might not have the wand or spell books quite yet, but you've got the support of your friends until you visit Diagon Alley.

I know there are two of these tests. Sarah took the one that ended up being Harry, I ended up with Ginny Weasly. Not bad, not really bad. I was hoping for a Professor of some sort.
Take this test!
You rarely need Polyjuice potion because you're usually happy just being you! While you might not make the biggest splash or cause drama, you slowly and steadily win over lots of people who think you're pretty darn wonderful. While you can be a little shy and self-conscious at times (especially around a crush), you're probably considered to be a BFF by more than just one person.

Luckily, your talents aren't just the magic kind. You're also kind and smart and just great to be around. Looks like you'll have a very charmed life indeed!

After talking to Hillory I realized that each flower had meaning and wasn't just pretty. So, I took the test again to see if I could read the description and post it in the comments. (Eventually I did this.) Unfortunately, I could not remember my answers, so I just answered the way I felt tonight. This actually seems to describe me better. Hmmm.

"Your artistic expression tends to show up in flamboyant bursts. When you are feeling creative, it consumes your every thought and action. But just as quickly as the muse shows up, it leaves you and you are back to your relatively normal self."

Happy Mother's Day!
I just thought I would brag about my beautiful little girl and how she made my Mother's Day perfect. Saturday Matt and Sarah took me to Lori's Secret Garden. That is the new restaurant in the old Garlock House. They have painted the enterior all kinds of shades of purple. Yummy food!
They woke me up today with breakfast in bed (Crunchy Granola Rasin Bran) and a homemade card. Sarah also gave me a freshwater pearl necklace and matching earings. They have a pink tint to them and I think they are perfect.
The ward gave us Dove chocolates and the Relief Society meeting included brunch.
My phone was dead and I didn't know it, so I missed the call from Scott, but he got in touch with Matt and sent a message. He is very thoughtful to his part time mom.
I slept for a good long time this afternoon after driving Matt to Buffalo (after I got home, not while driving back) and got to spend the evening with Sarah.
It was a great day, and I hope all of your Mother's Days were good too!
